The Blowout Series Part 1 - Socialite Sleek

Blowouts have become quite the rage this past year and they aren’t going anywhere in 2018. At TONI&GUY we have put together a Style Menu that consists of three popular blowout styles; Socialite Sleek, Bombshell Blowout, and Boho Chic. This week we will be focusing on the Socialite Sleek- a very relaxed blowout perfect for the client who is wanting something simple, put together, and voluminous.

To achieve the Socialite Sleek look, please follow the steps below:

Tools Needed:
Jumbo Round Brush
Large Velcro Rollers

Volumizing Spray/Mousse
Shine Spray
Finishing Hairspray

Socialite Step 1

step 1
Divide the head shape into three sections. Begin taking a horseshoe section from high recession to the crown. Note: These sections may vary depending on density and the width of the hairline.

Socialite Step 2 Sides and Back

At the front hairline, begin to blow dry the hair horizontally with a large round brush. Once the hair is completely dry, set the hair by placing a large Velcro roller with the ends completely rolled in. Repeat on the opposite side. Continue to blowdry the perimeter by subdividing with verticals.
Note: For thicker densities, subdivide within each vertical section when needed.

Socialite Step 3 Mid Section

Divide the midsection with a horizontal parting. Subdivide the section horizontally. Continue working through the top of the midsection in the same manner by brick layering the vertical sections.

Socialite Step 4 Top

Starting at the crown, begin by taking diagonal subsections. Continue to blow dry horizontally underneath the root for volume. Work through the top in a bricklayer manner and secure each section with a large Velcro roller. Isolate the fringe area and Note: Allow rollers to cool before removing.
